Covid 19 (Coronavirus) Updates and Information

Mona Vale Eye Centre has decided under the guidance of the Australian and NSW government, and The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists to see all patients again. As we are working at reduced capacity to reduce the numbers of patients in the waiting room. As a consequence, booking times are more lengthy. If you have an emergency, let us know and we will endeavour to book you in the same day where possible.

All elective eye surgery is still proceeding at Pittwater Day Surgery only. There is extra COVID screening requirement prior to surgery. Please discuss this with our office or Pittwater Day Surgery prior to any surgery.

Appointments will be spaced out throughout the day to minimise interpersonal contact. There is increased daily cleaning of the practice. We encourage you to use the hand sanitiser on arrival. You must use face masks at the directive of the NSW governmenet. The practice seats have been spaced to allow for social distancing. We encourage you to pay with a credit card, to avoid handling cash.

If you have an emergency and cannot reach us, please contact your optometrist, GP or the eye registrar at Royal North Shore  Hospital.

We understand that this COVID-19 outbreak will inevitably affect your life in many ways. Please stay safe and follow the instructions from the Australian Government. This inconvenience will be over sooner if we all work together.
